World Mental Health Day 2026: Making Sure Every Voice is Heard
Posted on 10 October 2026
At The Studio, we believe that being heard matters.
This year’s World Mental Health Day theme, “Being Heard,” is a powerful reminder that every conversation, every concern, and every voice deserves attention, understanding and support.
As a hospitality business, we know that our people are at the heart of everything we do. Whether welcoming delegates, supporting events behind the scenes, delivering exceptional catering, or keeping our venues running smoothly, our teams across our four UK locations work hard to create memorable experiences for our clients and guests.
But while we focus on looking after others, it’s equally important that we look after ourselves and each other.
Creating a Culture Where People Feel Comfortable Speaking Up
Mental health affects us all differently. Sometimes we may need support ourselves, while at other times we may be supporting a colleague, friend or family member.
At The Studio, we are committed to creating an environment where people feel comfortable talking about their wellbeing, seeking support when they need it, and knowing that they will be listened to without judgement.
Being heard isn’t just about having a voice; it’s about knowing that someone is there to listen.
Support Available to Our Teams
We understand that life can bring challenges both inside and outside of work, which is why we offer a range of resources designed to support wellbeing and mental health.
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
Our Employee Assistance Programme provides confidential support whenever it is needed. Whether you’re facing personal, financial, family or work-related challenges, professional guidance is available to help you navigate difficult situations and access specialist support.
Sometimes simply talking to someone can make all the difference.
Wellbeing App
Our wellbeing app puts support at your fingertips, offering:
- Podcasts on health and wellbeing topics
- Practical exercises to support mental fitness
- Health and wellbeing information
- Resources to help build healthy habits and resilience
Whether you have five minutes or are looking to make longer-term improvements to your wellbeing, the app offers useful tools that can fit into everyday life.
Mental Health First Aiders
Across The Studio, we have trained Mental Health First Aiders who are available to provide a supportive, confidential listening ear.
While they are not counsellors, they can help signpost colleagues to appropriate support services and provide reassurance when someone may not know where to turn.
Having Mental Health First Aiders within our teams helps us continue building a culture where conversations about mental health are normalised and encouraged.
Learning Through BrightHR
We also encourage our colleagues to develop their understanding of mental health and personal wellbeing through the training courses available on BrightHR.
Some of the courses available include:
- Mental Health Awareness
- Resilience
- Growth Mindset
- Navigating Panic and Anxiety
These resources help us better understand mental wellbeing, develop coping strategies, build confidence and support both ourselves and those around us.
Learning isn’t just about professional development; it’s also about giving ourselves the tools to thrive.
Looking Out for Each Other
World Mental Health Day gives us an opportunity to reflect on how we support one another, but creating a mentally healthy workplace is something we strive to do every day.
A simple check-in, asking how someone is feeling, offering support, or taking the time to listen can have a significant impact.
At The Studio, we are proud of the supportive culture our teams have built across all four venues. We know that when people feel valued, respected and heard, they are more likely to thrive both personally and professionally.
This World Mental Health Day
We encourage everyone to take a moment to consider their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of those around them.
If you need support, reach out.
If someone wants to talk, listen.
And if you’re unsure where to start, remember that help is available through our Employee Assistance Programme, wellbeing app, Mental Health First Aiders, and the learning resources available on BrightHR.
Because at The Studio, every voice matters, and everyone deserves to be heard.
