Christmas Team Get-Together

Posted on 16 December 2016

On the twelfth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
12 Drummers Drumming
Eleven Pipers Piping
Ten Lords a Leaping
Nine Ladies Dancing
Eight Maids a Milking
Seven Swans a Swimming
Six Geese a Laying
Five Golden Rings
Four Calling Birds
Three French Hens
Two Turtle Doves
and a Partridge in a Pear Tree

Your wish list may not be as long as this but did you know it’s less than 12 days to Christmas! With not long to go, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to wrap up 2016 with our quarterly team meeting.

We value team bonding and the effort everyone makes to attend thestudio forum is phenomenal, Gillian even flew in from Glasgow! Our forums present a space where our tight knit team can freely discuss ways to develop in 2017, pledging to continually support each other across departments all whilst enjoying a cheeky glass of mulled wine and the odd mince pie.

Home Alone…

This year we opted to stay within our venue. Being firm believers that a change of scenery can truly inspire you, we transformed the Atrium into a Lapland wonderland filled with the usual suspects (Christmas tree, fairy lights) but with a few extra surprises!

Who ate all the pies…

thestudio doesn’t do things by halves and loves thinking up new, fun, and distinctive ways to get the party started. We love to put our own spin on things so instead of the traditional turkey with all the trimmings, we made Slow ‘N’ Low the star of the show. The team loved this delicious food pop up and its inspired us of how we can work with Andy and his team again in the future! And for entertainment you ask? We dabbled with retro gaming courtesy of JoyPads. Who could say “no” to life sized Gameboys donning Super Mario, an N64 armed with Mario Kart and even a Sega Mega Drive primed with Street Fighter. Perfect for both button bashers and strategic thinkers alike!

Christmas is a time to feel young again, to renew your zest for life with the timeless excitement that accompanies this season. It’s important to let your hair down and enjoy life for what it is, after all, “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”.

There’s one thing for sure that can be said about thestudio team, is that they are truly irreplaceable. Everyone contributes their great personalities which carry that special studio spark, something inbuilt that just makes you instantly part of our team.Feeling like old friends to one another, we strive to make you studio goers feel the same.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Your ol’ friend thestudio.
