Happy National Taffy Day…

“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens,
Brown paper packages tied up with strings,
These are a few of my favourite things…”
Here @ thestudio, I’m sure you could guess a few of our favourite things, well, one which has the most prominence: FOOD!
No matter the cuisine, thestudio are sure to honour all things delectable, from creature comforts like a heart-warming beef chilli or a sweet treat to supply a much needed sugar rush to support you on your travels home.
Talking about sugar rush, did you know tomorrow is National Taffy Day? We had it saved in our diaries so we thought why not let loose and celebrate it a day early!
Constructed from all things sinful: boiled sugar, butter/oil, temptingly flavoured and inviting coloured… Taffy makes a perfect end of day treat.
Always look on the bright side of life…
Like all great things, Salt Water Taffy got its name by accident! Apparently in Atlantic City, a Confectioner (whose taffy stall was set up on the boardwalk) returned the next morning to find it covered in sea foam… hence the nickname: Salt Water Taffy!
Fancy a Laffy? Then grab some Taffy! And remember…
“When the dog bites, when the bee stings,
When I’m feeling sad, I simply remember my favourite things,
And then I don’t feel so bad.”
We wish you a lovely Bank Holiday!
