With the current pandemic providing a host of challenges and uncertainties around conferencing and events, the award-winning venue has announced how it will welcome guests back through its doors as soon as the Government gives the green light.

The plan covers all aspects ofthe guest journey; from arrival at the venue on Cannon Street, through to their in-room experience. This includes the introduction of individual sanitised desk spaces for each guest throughout the day, one event per floor to allow for social distancing, and staggered breakout times.

Many of thetraditional studio touches will be retained, however, withfood prepared freshly on site and delivered as a new “grab and go” offer, allowing flexibility to eatsafely back at their own work station. Alternatively, thestudio will also encourage guests to utilise the venue’s outdoor space; a private terrace that will also be available to hire for open air meetings.

thestudio is also embracing the need to create flexible solutions for larger events, including the option of “hybrid” eventsusing the latest in video conferencing technology to allow guests to meet virtuallywhere appropriate.

Speaking about the changes, Commercial Director, Julian Kettleborough, comments:

“As an established venuewith a reputation for our creative approach, we wanted to be amongst the first UK venues to announce our post-lockdown plans, even before we have the official date for re-opening. We realise that at a time like this, even the smallest of events can be daunting to organise, so it’s key that we show our customers how we’ll provide safe solutions that ensure they can still have some level of ‘business as usual’.

Wehave consulted with both our clients and industry expertsinordertodevelopguidelines that address each of our needs, whilstensuring the spirit ofthestudiowill remain at the heart of everything we do.We wanted to communicate this serious message in a typically creative way,so that event planners and attendees are both reassured but not in any way concerned about returning to business.”

The ‘Outer Space’ events option features across all four of thestudio’s UK venues; Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester. To find out more about thestudio’splans, visit thestudio.co.uk or download the full plan here.
