thestudio… wins PLATINUM for Meeting Venue Sustainability Initiative at the Greengage Sustainability Awards 2024 

In an exciting and motiving start to the year we are so proud to share that thestudio has be awarded the Platinum award for Meeting Venue Sustainability Initiative at the Greengage Sustainability Awards 2024, held on Thursday 11th January at the QEII Centre in London. 

In what was a hotly contested category, that included the ACC Liverpool and Kia Oval the judges of the award commented that thestudio  “has a wealth of sustainable initiatives including a clear path to achieving NetZero by 2030. We particularly like the collaboration with 20 other West Midlands based organisations to develop a ‘Sustainability Roadmap’ – and (Commercial Director) Julian Kettleborough’s role in the groundbreaking Aston Business School ‘Green Advantage’ programme.”

Commercial Director, Julian Kettleborough, who is taking the lead on sustainability at thestudio commented:

“2024 will be another big year in our sustainability journey, so what does that mean in terms of the activity? We will continue to march hard towards our commitment to be Nett Zero by 2030. 

We will continue to share our updates throughout the year and of course you can be sure that we will be shouting about any ways in which our clients can get involved and help to make their events more sustainable  

We’re absolutely delighted to be able to start our sustainable 2024 in such a positive manner and gives us the extra bit of motivation (not that we needed it!) to push on and continue to improve our sustainability credentials, including being able to measure our success, as we move through the year.“
