Well-wishing’s for the Chinese New Year…

Yes, you’ve guessed it, today is that special day which marks the revival of the Chinese calendar, so we bid adieu to the year of the Rat and welcome the year of the Goat. Alternatively known as the Spring Festival, Chinese New Year is packed full of cultural fun, from lion dancers to show stopping fireworks, the Chinese definitely know how to greet a year in style.

Money, money, money…

This auspicious occasion summons the cost-omary tradition to dish out doe in red envelopes, typically given as gifts by elders to the younger generations (lucky so and so’s). (more…)

Valentine’s is a tricky day to avoid; whether you’re a cat lady, not so eligible bachelor or a loved up couple who live on cloud 9, masses will either take part in or boycott this marmite of an occasion. Christmas has come to an end and all the festivities firmly put to rest with the traditional purging of decorations. After every dessert laden and cheese board filled Christmas, it seems common among the masses to rejuvenate during January, working on that all important beach body for the summer. That’s on all of our minds, isn’t it? Most people, and we’re no different, tend to reflect on the previous year and in rose-tinted aspiration of the coming year, look forward to change.

A few months before the London 2012 Olympics a Key Note press release announced that the UK Corporate Hospitality Market fell by 2.5% to 1.b billion between 2007 and 2011. However, the same press release remained hopeful about the market’s ability to gradually recover in the aftermath of the Olympics and the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
