Today is the fourth Thursday in November which means its Thanksgivings day!

So if you’re at thestudio today why not join us in having a slice of seasonal cake.

What’s this you say? Give thanks today?!

Mainly celebrated in America and Canada, Thanksgivings is a day to do just that, give thanks! This elusively dated celebration can be traced all the way back to 1621, when immigrants from England settled in Massachusetts, New England. (more…)

Have you ever wondered when witnessing a flock of geese overhead, why they choose to fly together rather than alone? Apart from the great company, I assume, geese are, it makes the journey a lot easier. With a common goal in sight, it seems to be much easier to work as one, and we strongly believe this is true.

Here at thestudio, we place a heavy emphasis on promoting a Customer First work ethic. All our staff share this belief and strive to achieve this every day. Sharing this common goal means we are more likely to achieve our corporate goals (which revolve around you!). (more…)

There is a particular phenomenon typically experienced by astronauts called the Overview Effect. When individuals view the pale blue dot (Earth) surrounded by the blackness of space it induces a sudden philosophical realisation of complete unity, recognition that:

“All life on earth is interconnected, and we are, in a very real sense, one.”

Unfortunately I haven’t viewed the Earth from space, but am certain, like me, you can appreciate this ethereal bond we have to our planet and to each other.

It’s been over a month now since New Year and so we’ve had plenty of time to perfect our tactics for succeeding in our new year’s resolutions. That’s if any of us have managed to stick it out this long! The most popular New Year resolutions seem to be eating more healthily, exercising more often and generally looking after our bodies. I suspect it has something to do with all the chocolates, cheese and roast dinners consumed over the Christmas break…

A few months before the London 2012 Olympics a Key Note press release announced that the UK Corporate Hospitality Market fell by 2.5% to 1.b billion between 2007 and 2011. However, the same press release remained hopeful about the market’s ability to gradually recover in the aftermath of the Olympics and the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Although Corporate Hospitality was controversial (more…)

This year has been a great one so far with lots of good news for our growth and development plans. Our business has grown with the opening of a new floor in Birmingham and now we’re exploring expanding our venue in Manchester so that we can accommodate many different size events.

The expansion of the studio was naturally followed by a growth in our team members. We originally (more…)

It’s been a week since International CONFEX (19th – 21st March) in London closed its doors. How time flies in the world of events! It seems only yesterday we were unwrapping our Christmas gifts and now we’re slowly wrapping up the month of March! It’s funny that in a world based on people contact you really seem to sometimes miss keeping in touch with your fellow colleagues and peers. CONFEX is a great opportunity to meet old acquaintances, get to know new people and hear people’s enthusiasm for the services we offer.

This year we were part of an elite selection of venues that were brought forth under the Meet Birmingham umbrella. It was great to see so many people who recognise the advantages of holding meetings in the Birmingham area. More than ever, people realise that the West Midlands is a great hub for bu (more…)
